Clay Art was based out of South San Francisco, and specialized in hand-painted pottery items such as cookie jars and salt and pepper shakers. It was founded in 1979 by Michael Zanfagna and Jenny Mclain-Doores. Due to declining sales, the company was sold to Renovo in 2009. Combined with Formation Brands, LLC, the new entity appears to have been rechristened as SLANT Collections.
