VanTiki's Description: "This curious cocktail container is modeled after the most unique of all the pounders of Polynesia: the ring pounder, or pohaku puka ku’i poi, found only on the island of Kauai. This traditional tool is used to mash taro root into poi - and its puka (Hawaiian for hole) allows two hands to easily lift the stone implement. Scaled to match the stone artifacts in the Bishop Museum collection.
