Tiki Mug Design

Bat Guardian Camazotz Mug - Open Edition - Bone - by Jacob Medina & Tiki Shark

in 16 collections

This is the third Meso-American design collaboration by Jacob Medina and Tiki Shark (preceded by Kaan Took and the Jaguar Warrior). It portrays a gargoyle-like bat sitting atop what appears to be an Olmec or other Meso-American inspired head.

Camazotz translates into “death bat” in the K’iche language. "Camazotz" is formed by the words kame (which means death) and sotz (which means bat.)

This design was produced in a bone and in a blue open edition. A limited number of each were signed. Additionally, there is a limited edition of this design (using both the bone and blue mugs) that is hand-painted in variations of turquoise and red detailing.
