I am a Métis musician and Tiki aficionado living in the Yukon. So far, I have collected over 50 mugs in addition to a variety of other tiki and tiki-adjacent carvings, paintings, films, swizzle sticks, music, barware, lighting, furniture, etc. I try to visit Hawai'i annually, I go to every tiki bar I can find, and I am constantly scouring second hand shops to find new additions to my collection. My goal is to eventually build my own in-house tiki bar so that I'll permanently have a little taste of the tropics in my North-Canadian home.
Check out the URLs I have provided to see my two favourite "local" (within 2500 km) tiki bars that I try to frequent semi-regularly as well as a link to Tiki J's Facebook page who makes exceptional custom lamps out of tiki mugs (I have two of them in my collection - scroll through my mugs to see them).
I'm always up to meet other Tiki fans and I'm looking to do some "Tiki Travel" to destinations with multiple "must see" Tiki Bars such as San Francisco, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale (once the Mai-Kai reopens), etc. See you at the Tiki Bar!
