Help! There are other mugs featuring Hotei -- the happy, traveling Buddhist monk -- on the site, but this is more detailed than the others I've seen, and the lack of marks make this one a puzzle.
Distinguishing Characteristics
"Japan" mark on bottom. Right foot is raised slightly. Straw hole in belly. Two small marks under his right arm
