Standing Warrior Ku with Headdress Bank

in 5 collections

This brown bank was apparently produced for the tourist trade. The bank depicts a standing warrior Ku with a fierce face, upturned chin, and long headdress. Made in Japan. Similar statue versions exist. Very similar to an earlier Randotti statue #672 "War God" and Coco Joe's #46 Tiki Bookends produced in HapaWood Brown and Lava Black. Also produced in concrete composite by other manufacturers. Also, some similarity to the Orchids of Hawaii R-12 handled mug. It's a very familiar and well-recognized Ku design.
