Cyclops Mug - by Moore Monsters

in 1 collection

This is a mug shaped like a full body standing one-eyed horned cyclops. He is holding one arm akimbo with a big club in it -- and that arm serves as a handle for the mug. Hand finished with low fire food grade glazes. Glaze colors vary from piece to piece. Piece was inspired by The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958) with its giant cyclops built by Ray Harryhausen and brought to life through the magic of stop animation. Harryhausen gave the cyclops a horn, goat legs, and cloven hooves, an idea based upon the concept of the Greek god Pan.
