Kaahope is Hawaiian for "the past", This design is based on an actual tiki that was found buried in the mud on Kauai in 1909, which now resides in the Bishop Museum. He has a great Ku like mouth which is closed at the front making a unique hole through this mug, and is covered with tapa like designs all over. Each mug has a weathered, vintage style museum tag attached to the mouth that has all the actual info on it about the original tiki. This is the second color combination they are doing for this design and is a nice aged bone with a brown oil spot glaze on the inside. There will only be 25 mugs produced in this color, each numbered on the bottom. Total run for this design will only be 100 plus 25 super limited artist proofs. Of the 100 run, every 25 will be a different color - totaling 4 different color combinations. Measures 8.75" tall.
