Maman Brigitte is the rightful mistress of the gates of any cemetery. She is also the wife of Baron Samedi, who is recognized as the ruler of the dead. She is able to bring back the dead, postpone a particular person's death and even heal from a terrible disease that is caused by witchcraft or outside influence.
