Tiki Bar
The Fallen Trident
Santa Clarita, California, United States
Opened in April of 2026.
This bar, based in Newhall, California (the southernmost and oldest community in the city of Santa Clarita), has a very nautical/pirate tilt.
Meant to evoke an undersea shipwreck, walls are contoured to look like an underwater stone grotto or the side of a sunken ship with oak planking and brass portholes with underwater videos.
There are lots of glass floats hanging from the ceiling, along with fish-netting, there is a large fiberglass octopus by the bar, and several creepy-looking angler fish decorate the walls.
Fog machines, light effects, and sound effects help create an immersive experience.
Polynesian carvings and tiki artwork are lacking and this bar embraces the nautical heavy build-out that has grown popular, especially in the 2020s.
Then again, they don't use the term "Tiki Bar" in their advertising and social media. However, they don't call themselves a "Pirate Bar" either.
Seems they would rather avoid labels and just concentrate on providing a good experience for customers.
Even if it may not be a tiki bar in the strictest sense, The Fallen Trident is definitely tiki-adjacent and tiki-friendly. Their cocktail menu features an assortment of traditional tiki cocktails as well as a page of signature originals.
