    Augie Colon Tiki Mug Kissed by Pele a.k.a. Sophisticated Savage Mug Kissed by Pele

    This mug was created by Gecko as a tribute to music great Augie Colon. A gray Tiki with red eyes is drumming a small Tiki drum. He has an open mouth from which lava is spilling out. Lava is also pouring from the opening at the top. "Augie Colon" is in raised letters on front base, Gecko logo is on back, as is a birdman petroglyph. Known as both the "Sophisticated Savage" mug and the "Augie Colon" mug. This is the "Kissed by Pele" version with custom lava glaze.

    Mai Kai Barrel O Rum

    This brown rum barrel with wood grain pattern and four bands was the first rum barrel used at the Mai Kai from about 1956 through 1972. As depicted on the 1959 menu and seen as late as 1972 in photos.

    Ilikai Hotel Tonga Mug Brown

    This minimalist mug was manufactured for Ilikai Hotel in Hawaii. It is a simple curved cylinder with protruding eyes, nose and mouth. It greatly resembles the "Tonga" mugs made by Polynesian Pottery. It was used to serve the “Okole Maluna” cocktail at the Ilikai’s Pier 7 coffee house/restaurant. The Ilikai Hotel & Luxury Suites is a landmark oceanfront high rise hotel and condominium at the western end of Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawaii. When it opened in 1964, the Ilikai was the first luxury high rise hotel in Hawaii. This mug was likely issued at opening or shortly thereafter.

    Aku Aku Moai - Super Limited Matte Black Edition - by Biggs Tiki - for Tiki Classics #1

    This is a mug shaped like a large moai that used to stand at the Aku Aku in Las Vegas at the Stardust Hotel & Casino. The original moai was carved by Eli Hedley, grandfather of Bamboo Ben.

    The mug is weathered and shows cracks and is marked for the "Aku Aku" on the back with a shield and crossed spears with silver luster tips. It is matte black.

    This was the first design collaboration between Tiki Classics and Biggs Tiki. A first edition in a pale greenish gray (matte patina copper glaze) was sold through a lottery method for those that signed up in advance. The lottery went live on January 26th, 2021 and concluded on the 30th with winners notified on the 31st.

    A second edition in more of a gloss gray was sold first-come and first-served through a "Pick Your Poison" event on March 6th, 2021, through Biggs Tiki's website.

    This Super Limited Matte Black edition with Silver Luster spear tips and gloss black on the inside was sold alongside the second edition on March 6th, 2021.

    Mauna Loa Mexico Fertility Goddess with Marking

    This fertility goddess mug is from the Mauna Loa in Mexico City, and has the "Mauna Loa" logo printed on its back. The mug has a black, semi-matte glaze, and is of a woman down to mid-calf. The arms are separated from the body and clasped in front. Another version of this mug has more swirl details, and is not marked Mauna Loa, but is likely from the same location.

    A slim ceramic demitasse cup with a handle and featuring a Moai on front. White with gold accents on top and bottom rim and handle. It was originally accompanied by a demitasse saucer also labeled for Trader Dick's and measuring 3" across. The same handled demitasse cup design was also used for a Dick Graves Nugget Casino glass featuring the Last Chance Joe miner mascot. These demitasse cups have a sticker on the bottom shaped like a clover leaf and labeled "PCDG Japan." 4" tall by 1.25" wide or 2" wide including handle.

    Souvenir tiki available with drink purchase at Trader Dick's, in the Nugget Casino in Sparks, NV (just outside Reno). Mug is the same design as the R-3 from Orchids of Hawaii. Mug has a sort of peanut-shaped body, with an aggressive sharp-toothed head, and jewels for eyes. Back has "Trader Dick's ®" in raised dark letters. Bottom has simple rectangular gold "MADE IN CHINA" sticker.

    A standing Hawaiian boy holding uli uli feathered gourd rattles. Though primarily brown, this figure has white crackle glaze details, including a wrap around his waist, his rattles, a flower tucked behind one ear, and a flower lei around his neck. Sculpted by Tony Guerrero for the new Hawaiian plant (this figure was recast in an 8" tall, more portable, size for tourists). Treasure Craft produced other similarly glazed lines in different themes, including a Calypso and a Matador line as well.
