Maori Bookends #29A by Sovereign Woodware

These wooden bookends feature a Maori head with a typical extended tongue and paua eyes on the front side. The otherwise unadorned backs showcase layered native New Zealand woods, and the label on the bottom of one bookend describes each of the 13 woods used.

These were produced in the 60's, by Sovereign Woodworkers Ltd. in New Zealand. Stock # is noted as No. 29A.
