This napkin or letter holder was made of Koa wood by Tropical Lamp & Shade Co of Hawaii.
The same company also offered other napkin holder designs featuring a Tiki figure, as well as a 7.5" carved Tiki statue and a square wood table cigarette lighter with their company name printed on the bottom and the notation "Koa Wood". This shop still exists in Honolulu.
Note that the Acacia Koa tree is the second most common tree in Hawaii.
