This "Capitol Record Club Exclusive" LP from 1968 gives a broad overview of Les Baxter's work, for better or worse.
As the inner leaf notes, "Les Baxter's work is never sad or gloomy - it is full of the adventure of life, the sounds of exotic lands and the free spirit of life close to nature". Naturally, most of the 20 included songs on this double-vinyl compilation album aren't very Tiki-exotica oriented, but "Quiet Village", "The Enchanted Sea" and "Blue Jungle" are standouts.
