This larger, heavy statuette is noted as "made with lava" and has a notable gritty/sandy texture that later CoCo Joe items do not.
The back is stippled. Some versions also note "No 247" on the bottom, some note copyright '64, and yet others bear no "number" inscription at all.
This statue usually had a yellow label on the back stating: "Akua Lono This Akua or God of Ancient Hawaii was one of the major Gods of old Hawaii. This god was most honored during the Makahiki or harvest season. He was one of the most favored gods of Ancient Hawaii. This replica of Akua Lono is made with lava from the volcanoes of Hawaii."
