Name? Friendly Sitting Chinese Dragon with his tongue sticking out (how is that for a name...lol)

The Hat comes off to fill, so I guess it would be a "Capped" mug? (New category????) I got it in 1988 at the Marina Mandarin hotel in Singapore. I remember paying an outrageous amount of $$ for the drink, but didn't mind since I got to keep the "mug/glass" as a souvenir (Must have been filled with some signature Tiki concoction that wasn't as memorable as the container...well, except for the price, $19 US (in 1988 Dollars) for a ONE person drink!!! lol.

It's a commemorative Chinese New Year "Year of the dragon" mug. It has a S6115 signature on the bottom. I can't find any like it on the site (or on the Web for that matter), but you can check out the pics.

Marina Mandarin Singapore Year Of The Dragon Mug

in 1 collection

This is a gold mug shaped like a cartoonish dragon. It has a black hat lid, giving it quasi decanter feature. The year of the Dragon ran from February 17, 1988 to February 5, 1989 and celebrated the Earth element. The hotel was built in 1987 and underwent remodeling in 2005.
