USS KIDD Pirates of the Pacific Mug - by Oakwash
aka USS KIDD Skull Mug in 1 collection
From Oakwash:
"Inspired by the real 'Pirates of the Pacific,' the nickname of the first crew of the USS KIDD DD-661, a Fletcher-class destroyer built during WWII and now a museum located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, this mug features a bright red hat, a replica of one given to the USS KIDD crew in 1951 by the ship’s commanding officer. The meticulously etched skull on the lower half is adorned with detailed depictions of the ship’s storied past.
Handmade in Louisiana by artist Omar Girona, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this mug will be donated to the USS KIDD Veterans Museum to help with the ship’s restoration.
A special thanks to Mr. Parks Stephenson for his amazing assistance and guidance during the development of this mug. His expertise on the KIDD and the sharing of reference material at the museum made this mug even more special.
Numbered and signed in an edition of 25."
