This is one in a series (including Franken-Berry, Count Chocula, Boo Berry, and Yummy Mummy). They are a tikified re-imagining of classic General Mills Cereal Monster Mascots that began in the early 1970s. Fruit Brute was introduced in 1974 and was discontinued in 1982.
