God of the Orange Grove! This deity was first conjured by the Los Angeles artists and urban archaeologists Kevin Kidney and Jody Daily to bless their influential 1996 Anaheim Museum exhibit, "Tiki: Native Drums in the Orange Grove," a survey of Polynesian Pop-style in Orange County, California. Tiki Mug Design

Miehana

in 150 collections

This highly stylized tiki character was designed by artist Kevin Kidney for an Orange County museum exhibit celebrating tiki in the late 1990s. Try spelling Miehana's name backward to get the local connection. This mug followed in 2004. There is a Miehana orange juice-based drink designed especially for this mug by Jeff Berry. The mug is matte black with an orange glazed interior.
