Ren Clark Look-Alike Salt and Pepper Shakers for The Islands

aka The Islands 10th Anniversary Salt & Pepper Set in 2 collections

These black and white glazed Tiki shakers have slanted, almond-shaped eyes, a smile that flares out at the edges, a pig-like nose, hands meeting with thumbs up in front, and recessed swirl designs at top and bottom. They were given out for free (one per family) at the July 4th, 1968 brunch event for the restaurant's 10th Anniversary. Modeled after the signature tiki for Ren Clark's Polynesian Village which was carved by Milan Guanko.
