March 15th, 2020; My wife & I stopped in to the Tonga Hut PS for a couple of drinks. Owner Kevin Murphy was in the bar that evening and we commiserated over the Governor’s latest request closing bars starting on the 16th. When we left, he graciously allowed me to adopt one of the new Virgin Coconut mugs pre official release.

Virgin Coconut Mug for Tonga Hut - White
aka Thai Coconut Mug for Tonga Hut in 8 collections
'Thai' style coconut of the type usually sold in stores; a hole is knocked into the top of the coconut and the coconut water is drunk with a straw. This mug keeps the 'top' of the coconut intact as a lid that can be inverted to use as a reservoir for a shot of run or a flaming sugar cube; it is notched to allow the use of a straw. The mug is off-white in color with a thin brown wash to pick out the details and the Tonga Hut imprinted on the side of the mug.
