Tiki Mug Design

Mapco Tiki Mug - by Steve Hammons & Old Skool Vintage Designs - for Saturn Room

in 2 collections

This mug is based on Mapco coal mines. They had these big tiki statues outside of their mines to protect their workers. The statues were holding a piece of coal, but this mug is holding a Saturn to show protection over the Saturn Room.

Manufactured by Old Skool Vintage Designs and designed by Steve Hammons.

In addition to the regular edition for $30, there were some special glazed versions available upon release for $10 extra.

Used to serve the Mapco Miners Punch. This cocktail uses Kirk and Sweeney Reserve rum from the Dominican Republic and a little bit of Rittenhouse rye. They then add the super not-so-secret MAPCO mix, which is a house-made syrup that has blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and passion fruit in it. Then they add a root beer, tea and root beer syrup, a little bit of Absinthe and some bitters. For the juices they add lemon juice and grapefruit juice. After it is mixed, it is infused with CO2 in a Perini shaker.
