This was for sale onsite at Wusong Road in Cambridge. It was the biggest mug they have, because it’s a scorpion bowl for four. It took up half of my luggage to get it home!

Crab Scorpion Bowl - for Wusong Road

aka Heikegani Bowl - for Wusong Road in 1 collection

From Wusong Road:

"HEIKEGANI Bowl - for the past year and half we've been so happy to being able to use the awesome skull boats by Trader Brandon. Sadly with breaks and theft they soon will be sailing off into the sunset.

So we've decided we should create our own based off the Yokai (spirit) called the Heikegani: A crab native to Eastern Asia and when viewed from above they appear to have the scowling face on their shell. According to legend the souls of dead Heike warriors who were lost at sea became infused with the crabs crawling on the bottom of the ocean floor.

The shells of the crab mutated into the shape of a scowling Heike warrior faces, a permanent reminder of the never ending grudge of the Heike."
