This swizzle features a shark fin and the Myers's recipe for their Shark Bite cocktail. The blend of Myers's rum, orange juice and grenadine in their cocktail is different from the Shark Bite served at the Mai Kai which was inspired by the Don the Beachcomber's Shark Tooth cocktail.

Difford's Guide and others add a bit of lime or sour mix to balance the sweetness in the Myers's recipe.

The Don's recipe for the Shark's Tooth is basically a daiquiri with a blend of Barbados and Jamaican rum as well as small amounts of pineapple juice and maraschino cherry syrup.

The campaign for the Myers's Shark Bite cocktail included lots of other Shark Bite swag in the 1980s-90s, including t-shirts, coasters, inflatables, and strap-on plastic Shark Bite Noses.
