Tiki Mug Design

The Drooling Bastard - Gold - by Eekum Bookum - for the Intoxicated Bastards - Tonga Hut North Hollywood

in 2 collections

This is a mug shaped like the Drooling Bastard (a crude Tiki made of volcanic rock, holding a bowl, with water trickling out of his mouth and into the bowl). It is based on the original fountain sculpture at the Tonga Hut which is the mascot for the Loyal Order of the Drooling Bastard.

Plaques with the names of the members of the Loyal Order of the Drooling Bastard surround the statue. To become a member of the Loyal Order, you must drink all seventy six cocktails in Beachbum Berry’s book “The Grog Log”.

After finishing “The Grog Log” members of the Loyal Order of the Drooling Bastard can start working on drinking the 76 cocktails in Beachbum Berry’s book “Intoxica!”. As a reward for working your way through “Intoxica!” you are rewarded with a gold Drooling Bastard mug.

The numbered gold Drooling Bastard mug is an open edition given to “Intoxicated Bastards” as they finish their drinking journey. The words "Intoxicated Bastards" are written across the back of the Drooling Bastard's head, "Tonga Hut" is written on its back, and "est. 1958" is written across its butt.
