This design takes inspiration from the classic Art Deco chinoiserie motif by Schumacher called Chiang Mai Dragons.

The design was initially made in three distinct Artist Proof glazes (Lacquer Red, Jade Green, and China Blue — three of each), with the first of each mug being sold via charity auction through the New England Tiki Society.

These were released February 12th, 2024.

Those APs had larger open nostrils for dry ice effects. However, the Lacquer Red had many differences from the open edition red, not the least is that the large flower on the front base was white on the AP and yellow on the open edition.

This regular open edition in red was released later by Dynasty Wholesale @ February 2026.
