Been loving tiki for almost 60 years, starting from our flotsam and net decorated basement when I was a kid, when my parents would bring home those itty bitty plastic monkeys and swizzles for us from a night on the town, to my first visit to the ETR as a kid in the early 70's, to our own "basement paradise" now: the Kukui Lagoon, which leads a double life as my art studio by day, our tiki lounge by night. I'm a full time artist, painting tropical, ocean, and aboriginal style art on reclaimed monkeypod bowls and wall art surfboards. Proud to say that my monkeypod bowls and hand-dyed silks were sold in the Mai Kai gift shop. My music, dance, and art all blend together in my projects, and if it sits still long enough, I'll paint it.
