Kappa Ceramic Sculpture #13
aka. Yakimon Humanoid Turtle Statue
"Kappa is a legendary mythological creature of Japanese folklore which resides in lakes and rivers. Their features resemble that of a humanoid turtle about the size of a child. They are mischievous pranksters, known to grab and drag people underwater to drown them. The top of their head is indented and holds water, this is said to be their power. If on land their dish like noggin must be filled with water. If the water is spilt out they will no longer be able to move. This Kappa sculptural figure stands at 16 inches tall. Each is numbered and signed. Kappa is limited to no more than 100 figures, though most likely much less than 100 will be made."
