Demon Gourd Bottle - Halloween Edition - by Herman Mudgett - of the Handmade Curiosities Collective
in 1 collection
From Herman Mudgett:
"Our demonic gourd bottle is inspired by the Japanese hannya. In folklore she was a beautiful woman twisted by jealousy and malice into an evil spirit. They were a frequent subject in traditional noh theater, and traditional irezumi tattoos.
They often are used in gargoyle fashion to ward off bad luck, a sort of 'Not today, Satan!' is this one’s taken vibe. The gourd-shaped bottle is also often a symbol of good luck, and a well-rounded life. From traditional art, to anime and video games the gourd bottle invariably holds the good stuff."
These Demon Gourd Bottles come in a variety of different glaze colors. The Halloween Edition is orange and black with eyes that are shaded like Jack-O-Lantern black triangles.
