Purchased from Ooga Mooga member Trader Tom. His description was: This mug is my twentieth completed piece from a 1963 Duncan Moai Mug Mold that I purchased off E-bay. Ernie Keen helped me with pouring and firing, however I did all the glazing. I call this the "Dark Fireworks Moai". It has a purple underglaze and a yellow overglaze with red, green, and orange crystals which "exploded" when fired in the kiln. From a distance it looks brownish, but close up you can see the layers of purple and brown. Total glaze experiment, this one.
