Tiki Farm Hydrostone Tiki Towel Holders Prototype

aka Ku Aquacast Towel Rack in 1 collection

Each end of this towel holder set is a grimacing Tiki with a strongly flared headdress. Each Tiki mounts to the wall and has a one-inch opening to insert the towel rod. This set is an unfinished prototype Tiki Farm intended to launch in 2000. It is made of handcast hydrostone, sculpted and molded by Squid and then hand poured in house at Tiki Farm by Squid and Holden. They are cast in hydrostone as hydrostone serves as a good base material for the decorating of figurines. In this case, stain was planned. A stained set of these is pictured on page 7 of the Tiki Farm 10-Year Anniversary Show Compendium. Later, it was decided that nobody would buy hand-stained bathroom pieces and so they never made it to market. There is a matching soap dish and toothbrush holder prototype as well.
