Full Throttle Tiki Mug - First Edition - by Squindo - for Tiki Farm

    From Tiki Farm:

" 'Full Throttle Tiki' pays homage to the open-wheel racers of the early 20th century and is another addition to our ever-growing Lowbrow, Hot Rod-inspired Tiki mugs, albeit without the actual hot rod on this one! Designed as a 3rd in an ongoing series for us by Tony Squindo, we’re digging the vintage glaze hues of muted grays, drab olives and burnt oranges on this one, doing our best to replicate the poster color aesthetic of the bygone open-wheel racing era. As ample in lead foot as he is in footprint, Full Throttle Tiki measures 7 1/8” in height and holds 21 oz. of high-octane, cranium-bursting liquid delight!"

Mele Hoa Tiki Mug - First Edition - Satin Green with Gunmetal Gray Wash - by Rainforest Tiki

    From the Tiki Farm website:

"An absolutely wonderful, very playful mug sculpted & designed by Daniel Scarcello aka Rainforesttiki. This is our second design by Daniel and personally, though I dig them both, this one is my favorite. “Mele Hoa” features two stylized Tiki-inspired characters with the fellow up top holding a Tiki mask over his face. Perched on top of the lower fellow totem-style, there are dashes of symbology to be found on the mug, though I have no idea what it means… I just love it! Ultimately perched upon an outcropping of foliage and a pedestaled lava, skull-flanked base – it’s super fun and super creative! Glazed in a beautiful, all-new satin green with a gunmetal grey wash, the detailing is very strong and the mug’s detailing shows through so nicely in this glaze combination."

This first edition was followed by a second edition in brown with black wash.

Hotei Mug - Brown - for Pyrat Rum

Hotei is the figure on the medallion on every bottle of Pyrat rum. The roots of rum trace back to early Asia, where scholars agree the first distillation of sugarcane juice was produced. And so, the history of rum is very much the history of sugar in Asia and Hotei honors Asia’s preeminent and important role in the origin of this popular spirit.

The Hotei monk is the patron saint and Zen protector of fortunetellers and bartenders. This socially enlightened mystic, often considered the god of contentment and happiness, is always depicted with a cheerful smile, a bald head, and a portly belly. Ancient scrolls tell of Hotei’s fondness for libations and he is commonly seen carrying a large cloth sack that never empties, from which he gregariously dispenses food and drink and other treasures.

There was also a matching bowl put out by Pyrat Rum at the same time with three of these Hotei figures as supports.
