Caliente Tropics Tiki Mug Mucho Caliente Lava Edition

in 5 collections

This is a mug shaped like a Tiki head with a rootball top, open mouth lined with teeth, small pushed-up nose, almond-shaped eyes, and tattoos on forehead and neck. It was manufactured by John and Janet Mulder of Eekum Bookum, sculpted by Patrick Vassar, and is based on one of the original Caliente Tropics Tikis — a Tiki which still stands on the grounds of the hotel today — that was carved in the 1960’s by Ed Crissman. This edition was available only in Palm Springs from June 29th-July 1st. It has a yellow interior and a fade from bottom to top that goes from dark orange to lighter orange and yellow at top. Part of a Palm Springs Mucho Caliente set for the weekend that features similar fade edition of the August Holland Pearl of Wisdom and the Tonga Hut Drooling Bastard mugs.
