This is a mug shaped like R2-D2, the droid from the science fiction Star Wars films. He is a small robot with buttons and lights around his body.

It is a tikified re-imagining of one of the drinking vessels that might be used if the Mos Eisley Cantina in Star Wars was actually a tiki bar.

First Edition R2-D2 mugs are pure white. Second Edition R2-D2 has a blue wash. The Third Edition (10th Anniversary) has a blue wash and a domed top with opening on reverse.
