I have two of these (one with blue eyes, one with red). One has a sticker on the bottom that reads Quon-Quon Made in Japan.

This moai lantern has a large smile and large round eyes. This design can also be seen on S&P shakers (pg 118 Tiki Quest). Johnny Sens made a version of this as a hobbyist mug in the 1960s and, more recently, GOTIKI has created a mug version as well.
