Blue-green glazed Marquesan style tiki mug. Feels quite cheaply made like it may be an unauthorised reproduction. Unmarked on base. Similar to the CheekyTiki 'Mr. Tonga Tongue' design but without the tongue! There is a plain version available sold as 'Mean Green Tiki Mug' but this one has an added decal on the back: 'Revolucion de Cuba' from the UK-based chain of bar/restaurants themed after those prevalent in pre-revolution era Havana.

Mr. Tonga Tongue Reproduction

aka Mr. Tonga No Tongue in 2 collections

The tiki has a full body. His eyes are crescent-shaped and appeared to be weighed down by a heavy brow. Similar to the CheekyTiki "Mr. Tonga Tongue" design but without the tongue. Instead, the lower front of the mug features a horizontal oval that continues the lines interrupted by the tongue in the original design. This version also lacks the flared nostrils. No maker's mark but these have been produced in a variety of colors and with heat decals for different locations.
