This mug is made by Garnet McCulloch at his Fireworks Studio pottery in Glasgow, U.K. He calls it the 'Missionarys Downfall Big Daddy' in his 2012 tiki mugs catalogue - because it's used to serve the Missionary's Downfall cocktail at The Tiki Bar and Kitsch Inn in Glasgow. It's 7" tall and 4" wide at the base. Holds about 25oz. Looks like a cruder version of the classic Orchids R-72 moai mug. Note: there is a smaller version of this mug which looks similar but is thinner and holds about 15oz of drink.

Fireworks Studio Moai Large

aka Missionary's Downfall Big Daddy Moai Mug in 1 collection

Stylized moai design in a brown glaze, with coffee-bean-like eyes, nostrils, and lips. Vertical "dashes" are indented into the mug all over. Based on the "Orchids of Hawaii" "R-72" design but more crudely fashioned. Used to serve the Missionary's Downfall cocktail at The Tiki Bar and Kitsch Inn in Glasgow. There is also a smaller version of this mug that holds 15 oz.
