Got mine at Benihana in Coral Gables, Florida. Tail fin rather misshapen - but it was the last one... I had to ask very nicely before they let me have it ;-)

Benihana Koi-Fish Mug

aka Benihana Nishikigoi Mug in 11 collections

The Benihana Koi-Fish Mug is shaped like an energetic Koi-Fish in mid jump. Koi, or, more specifically, nishikigoi (literally: "brocaded carp"), are ornamental varieties of domesticated common carp (Cyprinus carpio) that are kept for decorative purposes in outdoor koi ponds or water gardens. Although there is no Year of the Koi, Benihana chose them because they are so inextricably associated with China and Japan. Unmarked.
