In Denver for a conference when they dropped all the Lyft scooters everywhere. I rented a scooter from Adrift to Hidden Idol and it was a wonderful ride mostly through a big park.

Had a really cool vibe, and I had high hopes based on Critiki. Bartenders were very nice and I loved the vintage shows playing on the wall.

Drinks were not my favorite. This is what I wrote at the time: 1)1934 Zombie - 1st sip unpleasant, nice grapefruit peel garnish, everything else sucks 2) Mai Tai - Gross, way too sweet

Tiki Bar

The Hidden Idol

Denver, Colorado, United States (Closed)

The Hidden Idol was a small tiki bar, that had been a favorite on the craft-cocktail scene, as well as with the Denver Tiki Tribe subculture. It opened as an intimate space on East Colfax Avenue (above the now-closed Southside Bar + Kitchen) in February 2017 before moving to a larger space in Jefferson Park in June 2019. Due to the Covid shutdown, this bar was forced to announce a permanent closing as of Sunday, June 28, 2020.
