This is an actual coconut that has been hollowed out and carved to resemble a pirate head. There are variations. Some have hinged lids with natural fiber wrappings to keep the lid on. Some have a second piece of coconut shell inverted on bottom to use as a base. Some have straw holes drilled in. Many have markings.
