BigToe is me, Tom Laura. I was raised in Southern California on a steady beach-rat diet of surfing, skateboarding and drawing.
I went to Loyola Village Elementary school in LA before moving to Palos Verdes, where i graduated from Rolling Hills high School. I went to Cal State Long Beach for an art degree, but ended up going into the fashion/surf industry. I art directed for a bunch of different surf companies. I am still doing apparel and graphic design part time, as I pursue my fine art and tiki mug development.
As a student of Polynesian culture, traveling to the South Pacific has been a big influence. I have visited most of the Hawaiian Islands, several islands of Tahiti and the Society Islands, Fiji and Western Samoa.
I now live in Anaheim, California, where I spend a lot of time in the park with my dog Arlo.
