Opened in 1964 as part of The Tropics (now the Caliente Tropics Resort) by Ken Kimes.

In its '60s heyday, the Congo Room steakhouse and underground Cellar bar, attracted celebrities.

Closed in 1971.

The Congo Room later became the Reef Bar.
