Tiki Farm Logo Mug Big Ol Tiki Bash 2007
Trader Tom
This mug was sold at the Tiki Farm warehouse in San Clemente on Saturday, July 21st, 2007. 1,000 were made and about 100 were sold at the event. It is the first mug version of the logo mascot that was originally drawn in 2000 by Squid when Tiki Farm first started. Squid sold matching resin pendants at the event also. On the reverse of the mug it says "Tiki Farm" in raised relief logo. Underneath is a fire decal that says "Big Ol' Tiki Bash 2007" and has the smiling faces of a couple of party people featured on the event poster which was created by Derek Yaniger.

Tiki Boy Mug
Trader Tom
Trader Tom ordered a batch of 100 of these personalized Tiki Boy mugs from Holden at Tiki Farm to celebrate his son's, Trader Joe's birth. According to Holden, this was the first time this particular mug was personalized with fire decals. The decal runs along the bottom base and says: "Raise a Toast to Joseph Alan Morgan 11/07/07 8lbs., 19.5 inches".

Tiki Bob's Grimacing Tiki Mug

Apparently there are two versions of this mug. I've seen some that actually have "Tiki Bob's" incised onto the back in script letters. Page 67 of Jay Strongman's Tiki Mugs guide shows the same mug was used for the Hawaii Kai in New York, made by Jard Products. Elsewhere in collections in Ooga-Mooga the Hawaii Kai mug is referred to as a "Fierce Tiki" and looks VERY similar except for lettering on bottom and back.

The Side Door Saloon Frog Mug Test Glaze
Trader Tom
A frog wearing a hat and holding a burger. This mug is glazed green on the outside and white on the inside. It was created for "The Side Door Saloon" in Petoskey, Michigan. This was a gift from Holden. He heard my Rosebowl story about mistakenly buying a hundred dollar turtle punchbowl set, only to discover that my friend I bought it for was a frog collector, not a turtle collector. Eventually, I sold the punchbowl set for a profit on e-Bay. Holden thought I should see what a ceramic frog really looks like so I don't make the mistake again. :) Many thanks!
