This is a wooden egg cup with a Maori tiki style carving. Quite small (as befits the holding of a hen's egg) but intricate enough to include the requisite paua-shell eyes you get in the ubiquitous New Zealand bought tourist-items of this type.
Serveware

This is a service item made for the purpose of holding pineapple jam (hey, I'm English!) or compote (if you prefer). The maker is a company called 'Sylvac' which made hundreds, nay thousands, of similar ceramic 'novelty' items in the U.K over the course of several decades in the mid-to-late 20th century. Most of these are of very little interest to the tikiphile - but their range of fruit and vegetable shaped-pots are pretty great anyhow. It's 4" high and 2.5" wide. The lid has a small indent to allow you to insert a small serving spoon.

Don't know that much about this one. It's a ceramic pin dish or olive tray in a teal-colour glaze with the word 'Outrigger' printed in stylized lettering. It was made by well-know pottery maker 'Carlton Ware' in the U.K. Not sure when. It's 9" long and 3" wide. Two photos uploaded - one of the top and one of the white underside.

Salt & Pepper Shakers
Simon Marshall
Hei Tiki styled ceramic salt and pepper pots. Made and sold by a giftware company called 'Moana Road' in New Zealand. These are glazed in light blue (though as you can see from the photos the colour of each piece varies slightly and I have a non-matching pair). They also come in red, and in black, and in white.
Salt & Pepper Shakers

These salt and pepper shakers are made of dark wood and feature a simple mauri tiki design with inset paua shell eyes. They have a sticker on the back confirming they were 'hand carved in New Zealand'. 3.25" tall by 2" wide.
Salt & Pepper Shakers
Simon Marshall
These are wooden salt and pepper shakers in the shape of tangaroa. They are 6" tall and about 2.5" wide. They have little cork stoppers covering holes on the back of their heads where you can refill the condiments. No makers mark.

the mug appears to have survived longer than the love declared on the bottom... how's that for a comment on modern relationships? ;-)

Puaa Tiki Mug
Simon Marshall
erm, well... it's a whopping 7" tall and 3" wide with an all-over tan-coloured glaze. It was made by CheekyTiki in the UK - the base has the inscription "CT 01" - so it's either the first mug design they ever made, or was manufactured in 2001. Appears to be a crude representation of Ku and has a logo on the back which says "my". That's all I know for certain... I got it off eBay secondhand. However, I seem to remember (though my booze-addled brain isn't as good at recall as it once was) that I read somewhere that it was made for a short-lived intended chain of UK-based Tiki Bars called 'My Tiki' or something. Anyhoo they never really got of the ground and have since sunk without trace. A word of caution - this 'evidence' has to be taken with a healthy grain of salt - as I'm not from London and was never really part of that 'scene'. I s'pose I could chase them up at CheekyTiki and ask 'em about it but I'm not sure I can bothered... think I'll just make myself another Sidewinder's Fang instead...

the paint job on mine is a bit 'clownish' - but as always when you order direct from Porcelanas Pavon, you never know quite what you're gonna get... all part of the fun :)
