The barrel is brown and has two small handles on either side of the top and a lid with a small handle on the top. One side of the barrel reads "Old Tom's Jamaika Rum Fass" in raised letters over a scene of a pirate and a ship and the other reads "Old Tom's Jamaica Rumpot" over the same exact scene.
Made by Bay Keramik which was started by Eduard Bay in 1933 and stopped major art pottery production in 1971.
The bottom mark reportedly dates to between 1949-1990, with most of these having been made in the 1960s.
