Imhotep The Mummy Barman Mug Set - by KookieTiki
in 0 collections
This mug set consists of three pieces: the fez-wearing head of Imhotep (the mummy, from the 1932 film), and his two hands -- one of which is holding a Tiki Leilani Mug and one of which is holding a Peanut Lined Face OMC Mug.
Imhotep was portrayed by Boris Karloff in the film as a high priest of Ancient Egypt, who steals the Scroll of Thoth in attempt to resurrect his lover Princess Ankh-es-en-amon. For Imhotep's sacrilege, the princess's father Pharaoh Amenophis the Magnificent orders Imhotep to be tortured, mummified and buried alive. The scroll is buried with him, so that no one would ever again have the chance to use it again like he did.
This mug version of the Mummy has made his peace with the afterlife and is busy serving spirits to the spirits as a barman.
This is one of a few sets produced by KookieTiki, including one with The Creature from the Black Lagoon and one with Beetlejuice.

The Lost Lei Skull Wall - Purple
in 0 collections
Issued in a light blue or a purple glaze. Marked "The Lost Lei Austin" with their logo surrounded by palm fronds on the reverse. Sides are decorated in bamboo.
This mug design is an unauthorized use of the original design created by Darick Maasen in 2016 for Three Dots and a Dash in Chicago, IL. The original was made to resemble the entrance to the Chicago bar, whose wall of skulls is illuminated in blue light as you walk down the stairs. The original also has their logo and marking on the reverse, but it too is covered in bamboo like the sides (not in palm fronds).
Due to overwhelming criticism at the blatant unauthorized use of design work from Three Dots and a Dash, The Lost Lei pulled these mugs from shelves and discontinued their use at the bar. They were not destroyed, however, and continue to be sold on the secondary market through eBay and other venues.
The Lost Lei Sea Urchin - Yellow
