Tiki Mugs
Primitiva - Second Edition - by Eekum Bookum
aka Sandy Warner Mug - Second Edition - by Eekum Bookum in 2 collections
A mug based on Martin Denny's 1958 Primitiva album cover featuring Sandy Warner with a set of hands to complete the cover image.
Sandy Warner was an actress and singer, but will always be most famous as the face of Exotica.
It's fair to say Sandy Warner is the second-most famous album cover model of the vinyl era, behind Dolores Erickson, Herb Alpert's "Whipped Cream Girl."
Sometimes on the albums, Sandy has her long brown hair pulled back, sometimes she’s bleach-blonde and positioned against a wall with African idols, but she’s always tempting the listener with those almond-shaped eyes to escape modern American life and take a trip with her to somewhere exotic. Warner appeared on 16 Martin Denny LP covers, and while she had a minor career beyond her appearances as a tiki icon, it's these photos that defined her career and created a cult following that still exists today.
*This Second Edition mug was preceded by an almost identical first edition without a set of ceramic hands to set in front, cupping water, like on the Primitiva album cover.

Hiwa Sheba - Limited Edition - Mariana - Black & Blue - by Jeff Granito - for Tikiland Trading Company
aka Mariana Hiwa Sheba in 0 collections
From TikiLand Trading Co.:
"There are only 11 of the black with blue interior, the Mariana color way. We found a super limited quantity of this vintage Bermuda Blue Swarovski Crystal, and wanted to do a run of mugs just for the eyes, which is why it’s very limited."
From Jeff Granito:
"Hiwa Sheba, produced by TikiLand Trading Co. It was Inspired by the black tiki idols with rhinestone eyes that I would collect as a kid in Hawaii. I wanted to play with the idea of good and bad luck associated with black cats, so one side signifies bad luck (look for the number 13 hidden in there) and good luck on the reverse side (with a happy face and a four leaf clover tag)."
The mug holds approximately 24 ounces, is 9.75” tall, and has a nice solid weight of 1.9 lbs.

Swinger - by Eekum Bookum
in 2 collections
This is a mug shaped like an upside down pineapple with a feminine Tiki Bob style face. The name is a knowing nod to the (possibly urban legend) use of upside down pineapples to signify that someone is a "swinger" and indulges in casual sex parties.
From Eekum Bookum:
"I’ll be releasing my upside-down pineapple Bob inspired mug that I named 'The Swinger' next Saturday 25 June in Palm Springs Ca. It’s the weekend of Mucho Caliente and Rory has me scheduled for 5 pm right before yacht rock. I’ll have 50 of these beauties with me for that weekend."
King of Kapu - Orange Helmet - by Eekum Bookum - for The Reef
in 1 collection
A severed head mug sold exclusively on location at The Reef tiki bar in Palm Springs, California. The head wears an orange pith helmet decorated with a small tiki on front. The mug is made to look like Rory Snyder, owner of The Reef, who is also good friends with John Mulder of Eekum Bookum.
A delicious libation was created for this mug by The Reef’s Cameron Robbins, called “Wildsville’s Wrong Turn”.
This design was first issued with a yellow pith helmet, and other color-ways soon followed.
