The first edition was in a "Ghastly Green Grotto Glaze" and although the plan was to do a second edition in a "Black & Blue Lagoon" glaze (intense blue and purple), since that glaze was no longer commercially available, the finished 2nd edition is more of a "Freaky Fishscale" (purple & light cyan blue).
Like the first and second editions, this was a limited release of 200, each was hand numbered and signed by Pete Klockau.

Krampus Designer Series Mug - Third Edition - Wiped Blue Variant - by MONDO
in 0 collections
This mug is shaped like the legendary Krampus, with a wiped blue glaze. This mug is based on the work of Florian Bertmer with contributions by Matthew Black and Tiki Farm. Krampus is a beast-like creature from the folklore of Alpine countries thought to punish children during the Yule season who had misbehaved, in contrast with Saint Nicholas, who rewards well-behaved ones with gifts. Krampus gives out coal and switches and is said to capture particularly naughty children in his sack and carry them away to his lair. Krampus is represented as a beast-like creature, generally demonic in appearance with horns and a long protruding tongue.
There was also a first edition variant in Wiped Dark Red and a second edition variant in Nutmeg Brown.
From MONDO:
"Have you been naughty or nice? Well, if you're holding this mug, you already know the answer! This mug continues our Designer Series with artist Florian Bertmer's highly detailed take on the Christmas Devil, Krampus! Designed by Bertmer, brought to life by sculptor Matthew Black, and produced with our little elf friends at Tiki Farm, Krampus holds approximately 16oz. of holiday joy... and pain!
This variant features a white glaze with a blue wiped finish."
