From the Creator: "Kongo-Kai" draws a little bit of inspiration from everywhere. The original piece (pictured) was a freestyle carving that I did on one of my Baining Fire Dancer mugs, so the form is very much PNG, while the design reminds me of a vintage Mai-Kai mug. When combined with the black/yellow color pallete, it has that whimsical tribal look, that every Tiki bar needs.
40 in this yellow/black edition. Pieces numbered 30 → 40 have woodgraining embellishment.

aka Southgate Mall Tiki in 18 collections
Inspired by a Barney West tiki that used to grace Southgate mall in Sacramento, CA, this mug was produced by Tiki Diablo, and contains a detailed, multi colored glaze. Commissioned by 'TikiLibrarian', the original sculpt was emasculated (like the Southgate Tiki it was based on). However, encouragement from online tiki groups led to Tiki Diablo restoring the phallus to the mug.
