This is an artist proof. Many of these artist proofs were glazed in a gradation from top to bottom with additional black painted details/tattooing (i.e., red at bottom to yellow at top... or green at bottom to red in middle and yellow at top). Artist proofs are unique and, as such, vary in glaze color and details.

There is also a limited edition of 50 of these in a Maori Red glaze combination for TikiCat, a limited edition of 50 of these in Coconut Green, and a Pele Lava version limited to 25 pieces with lava dripping down from the top.

This tiki mug was designed by The Rainbow Professor (Head of Max's in-house ceramics studio) at Max’s South Seas Hideaway in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It is a primitive-looking hand-sculpted mug inspired by the classic Tiki Bob mug. Artist proofs are unique in detail and glaze color. This artist proof was followed by a New Year’s Eve version of Tiki Max in a glossy silver metallic glaze limited to 25 pieces on NYE to guests attending their 5-course dinner that night.

This mug depicts a pier post with a large dock cleat, and several sea creatures attached. The lid has a nautical star with the letters TIKI between the compass points.

From the artist: I was inspired by reading the history of beersteins and learning the lids were meant to keep out the Black Plague. It seemed all the more topical to make this lidded drinking vessel to keep away our current plague.

Translucent red mai-tai/double-rocks glasses that depict a pair of "Wahine" twins and tiki imagery in white. The artwork and terms are "tikified" references to the movie "The Shining". These were released as part of Jeff Granito's Come Tiki With Us line of products, and sold primarily through etsy, sold in sets of two. A red glow-cube was included.

From the artist: Castaway Coconut was inspired by all the washed up coconuts that can be found on the beaches of Hawai'i. My twist on this classic mug is that it has a rounded bottom, so it's like drinking from the real thing. Each coconut has it's texture details hand carved, so no two are the same. Castaway Coconut can easily hold 16oz without ice and can be displayed in many different angles with included base.
